Our Participating Farms

Breezy Hill Stables, Thurmont, MD  Quarantine/Rehabilitation, Retraining and Sanctuary Care)

R.A.C.E. Fund horses are provided great care at each of our participating facilities. Our horses are de-wormed and their feet trimmed regularly in addition to being vaccinated and their teeth floated on an annual basis. We also have veterinarians that we work with at each facility to provide veterinary care when needed.  Our facilities are visited and inspected on a consistent basis and inspected by TAA annually.

Sanctuary Care

Our sanctuary horses  also known as our "retirees" enjoy being outside and having each other for company. They have round bales year around even in the summer with plenty of grass. Automatic waterers, grain twice a day and several run-in sheds for shelter. In the winter when the weather gets really cold they are all blanketed.

Retraining

Our horses that are adoptable for riding horses are first examined by a veterinarian and then are ridden regularly by a professional experienced rider to determine what discipline they would be best suited for.
